Sydney censors Google maps

GOOGLE MAPS has stopped showing satellite images of Sydney's central business district weeks before the APEC summit.
Google has denied that it has anything to do with requests from the Aussie government which is worried that an army of anarchist soap dodgers will use the information to wreck the summit.

Coppers are also worried that there will be a terrorist attack during the September summit, where Sydney will play host to 21 world leaders including US President George W. Bush.

Google said that the imagery was downgraded as a result of a "commercial issue" with a supplier.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, maps of the Central Business District were once clear that you could see individuals people, tree branches and rubbish bin lids. Now you can only view vague outlines of objects. Gets like that when you get older.
