The Israeli minister of war Ehud Barak says there exists little
prospect of US military action against Iran's nuclear installations.
Barak referred to the US National Intelligence Estimate on
Iran and claimed that the report had contributed to the hesitation
about the military option against Tehran.
Barak also admitted the divergence between Israeli and US officials
concerning the report.
"Whoever reads the small print finds that we [Israel and
the US] disagree on some of the conclusions [in the report]
but a lot less than what one thinks at first glance," the
Zionist minister told the Knesset foreign affairs committee.

Barak claimed that world leaders share Israeli views on Iran's
nuclear activities but went on to complain that "the American
report is influential because of US centrality and importance".
Political pundits believe the December 3rd US agencies' assessment,
which countered allegations against Tehran's peaceful nuclear
program, has isolated the Zionist regime in its attempts to
portray the country as a threat.
