Global Warming Doublespeak:
Snowmageddon Blizzards Are Part Of Heating Trend
Down is the new black, up is the new white

A
New
York Times article has stunned some readers by
suggesting that an ongoing global cooling trend is actually
indicative of how quickly the planet is succumbing to man-made
global warming.
While cap
and trade legislation has literally been buried
by snow and put on ice for 2010, the corporate media continues
to engage in mental gymnastics, announcing that we should expect
more snow due to dangerous human-driven climate change.
As all time seasonal snowfall
records are being broken in Baltimore, Philadelphia,
and Washington, warming alarmists would have us believe that
the blizzards and intense cold are evidence of anthropogenic
global warming.
"...ferocious storms are consistent with forecasts that
a heating planet will produce more frequent and more intense
weather events." The Times notes, before delving into "evidence
that such events will probably become more frequent as global
temperatures rise".
The article also cites already
debunked evidence that anthropogenic global warming
is to blame for an increase in hurricanes.
It cites scientists who state that more frequent snow storms
should result from warmer air carrying more moisture.
"In other words, if the government scientists are correct,
look for more snow." the article concludes.
The lack
of mean temperature increase since 1998, however,
is not noted.
We were subjected to the same backwards logic a little over
a year ago when record
lows hit all over the U.S. and as the Northeast
experienced some of the worst snow and ice storms for a generation.
In a panic inducing article, the AP's
Seth Borenstein wrote at the time, "Experts
say it’s thanks to a La Nina weather variation. While
skeptics are already using it as evidence of some kind of cooling
trend, it actually illustrates how fast the world is warming.”
China experienced its coldest winter in 100 years in 2008,
Sydney experienced its coldest August for 60 years and Britain
suffered its coldest April in decades. Still, we were reliably
informed that snow
in South Africa was due to global warming.
Chief global warming propagandists The
World Wildlife Fund even announced that global
cooling is caused by "cabon pollution".
In the real world this has little to do with leaving our TV
sets on standby and everything to do with the fact that the
chief climate driver throughout eons of natural climate change
– the sun – has exhibited a barren spell of sunspots
throughout the latter part of the last decade.
Conversely, throughout the 1990’s, during which global
warming reached its peak, the sun was more active than it had
been at anytime in the previous 1,000 years.
A
new study supports the (call me wacky but that
massive massive ball of fire in the sky might have something
to do with the climate) theory. Professor Eelco Rohling of the
University of Southampton’s School of Ocean and Earth
Science presents evidence that the amount of solar energy reaching
the Earth and the influence of orbital changes correlates with
climate changes.
The study fills in blanks left by the now thoroughly disgraced
IPCC, which hypothesized that man’s gases have caused
most of the post-war warming, not because it is true, but simply
because no other possible cause was factored in.
Amidst the figure fixing and the endless scandals that now
even have hardened
warming enthusiasts admitting that the IPCC has
run it's course, desperation doublespeak has kicked in.
The warming lobby is now claiming that global cooling is a
part of global warming, and that we must still lower our living
standards and pay carbon taxes, while all the real environmental
problems are ignored or actively made worse by the same power
brokers demanding that we make sacrifices in the name of fighting
a non-existent threat.
