Cindy Sheehan To Form New National Political Party
Anti-war activist reveals plans for the "First Party"

Prominent anti war activist Cindy Sheehan has said she intends
to launch a new national political party after the presidential
election.
Sheehan, who is currently challenging for House
Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Seat in the 8th Congressional District
of California, revealed details of the plan in an interview with
digitaljournal.com.
Sheehan hopes to attract a broad coalition of support
from across the political spectrum and has cited the campaigns
of Ron Paul and Ralph Nader, among others as influences for the
project.
"We don't want to do third-party politics which
has a stigma in the United States", Sheehan told reporter
Stephen Dohnberg, The First Party will be so called because
it will be the first party that "cares about the people,
will work for the people, and will actually be a viable party."
Sheehan explained.
"I have spoken to Green Party Presidential Candidate Cynthia
McKinney and the Nader Campaign" and as disillusionment with
the two party system increases,"this is the time to build
on that energy." the Gold Star mother elaborated.
During her last appearance on the Alex Jones show in July, Sheehan
lambasted the two party system and the straightjacket
of partisan control commenting, "People are hungry for change,
people are hungry for people to tell the truth, no matter what,
people are hungry for those who act out of their integrity."
